Another busy parkrunday on Saturday, with congratulations to Pete Whitehouse on getting a big PB at Coventry and knocking Captain Bandito Wayne out of the parkrun competition. Also at Coventry, Robyn McSharry notched up her 150th parkrun.

Elsewhere, Pawel Langer was a first-timer at Krakow and ran his fastest ever parkrun time, the Wheatleys were first-timers at Kingsbury Water, Vicky Brewin was a first-timer at Braunstone and Catherine Gough was 2nd lady at Durham.

Congratulations to Joanne Bass on a PB at Boston. Elsewhere, there were plenty of parkrun travels, with Imran Ali first-timing at Oak Hill, Laura P-D first-timing at Sheringham and the Carvers first-timing at Evesham.

Congratulations and well done to Stuart Carver and Victoria O’Brien on getting PBs at Coventry on Saturday. Also, well done to Jackie Taylor (Collin’s wife) on completing her first parkrun!

Eslewhere, Vicky Brewin was a first-timer at Worcester, as was Alex Bartlett at Woking.

In the parkrun competition, we now have our semi-final line-ups: Wayne Broadbent v Pete Whitehouse and Anthony O’Brien v Andy Hales.

Plenty going on for Sphinx runners at Coventry parkrun last Saturday. Congratulations to Vicky Brewin for a double achievement of 50 parkruns and a PB! Congratulations also to Barry Allen, Paul Carberry and Imran Ali on PBs, and Will Robertson and Amarjit Singh Randhawa on 100 and 250 parkruns respectively.

Also, I understand that Wayne saw off the challenge of Pawel in the parkrun challenge and has advanced to the semi-finals.

The Godiva festival meant no Coventry parkrun but did mean that parkrun tourism went into overdrive, with Sphinx first-timers in Cannock, Leamington, Rugby, Brueton and Pollok. Well done to Craig Robinson on a PB at Leamington and Kev Naughton on a PB at Daventry.
