This week’s parkrun review is a tale of parkrun tourism, PBs and a first lady!
6 intrepid Sphinx runners went to Leicester Victoria parkrun for the first time, with Rachael, Imran and Vickie getting PBs in the process.
Elsewhere, Kathryn Stuart was the first lady across the line at Rushcliffe parkrun; Pete and Thomas Morgan went to Parke parkrun for the first time; and Kev Naughton made his first appearance at Daventry parkrun.

There is plenty to report from parkrunday, otherwise known as Saturday. Mitch Timms was in Wales for the Snowdonia marathon and took the opportunity for a bit of parkrun tourism by doing the Penrhyn pakrun based around the imposing castle.
Elsewhere, there were PBs-aplenty at Coventry as Alex Bartlett, Andy McIntosh, Lore Paterson, Rachael Allen and Vickie Hand all beat their previous best. There was also a PB at Clair parkrun as Louis Carver achieved 78% age grading! Darren Hallett ventured furthered afield though, as he completed Warszawa-Praga parkrun for the first time in a very good time. Well done to all!

Congratulations to Andy McIntosh and Barry Allen on PBs at Coventry, and Imran Ali on completing his 150th parkrun. Elsewhere, Ian Cunningham made his debut at Kingsbury Water and one of our juniors, Louis Carver, completed Leamington in a fine time and age-grading.

Also, congratulations to Barry Allen on his PB, that’s 4 PBs in his last 6 runs at Coventry! Also at Coventry, there were many Sphinx volunteering: Andy Wilkinson, Ian Wilkinson, Kevin Dick, Lisa Abbott, Paul slatford and Vickie Hand.
Elsewhere, Steve Osmond made his first appearance at Winchester, as did Alex Bartlett and Andrew Hales at Cannon Hill.

There was a definite North-East flavour this week as Imran Ali and Andy Hales took in Newcastle and Durham parkruns respectively the day before the Great North Run. Elsewhere, Alex Bartlett did Gladstone parkrun for the first time and Andy Wilkinson did the same at Exeter Riverside.
