Results for Centurions Grand Prix, 02-Mar-2014

Eleven Sphinx AC runners took part in the penultimate race of this season’s races, with Ashley Miles finishing third. Conditions were grotty, as always, with mud, rain and wind to cope with from the outset. Rob Wheatley won a delightful notebook in the raffle, however, which was nice. Sphinx AC were represented at a number of ParkRun events this weekend, including one in Denmark! Coventry 30 Sphinx AC runners/family/friends ran this weekend, with no first-timers and 4 PBs. Conditions were dry and bright, and the field was quite large. The start was on the tarmac again, which is proving very popular. Sphinx AC were represented at a relatively small number of ParkRun events today, but there were a number of PBs and the return of a few familiar faces… Coventry 25 Sphinx AC runners/family/friends ran this weekend, with no first-timers and 4 PBs. Our old friend, Lucy Smith, made her first appearance in a year and took first lady position with a cheeky PB to boot! The national XC championships in the afternoon meant that a number of our regular runners didn’t participate.

Sphinx AC were represented at a number of ParkRuns this weekend, with Robyn McSharry taking first lady place at Coventry – but cruelly equalling her PB! Coventry 24 Sphinx AC runners/family/friends ran this weekend, with no first-timers and no PBs. This week, there was some small changes to the course; instead of starting on the field, we started on the path between the memorial and the Kenilworth/Leamington Road traffic lights.
