Congratulations to Jason and the teams at Coventry parkrun on their 8th birthday! Congratulations and well done to Ellie Davies, Laura Pibworth-Dolinski and Katie Timms on PBs at Coventry, Rugby and Brueton respectively. Mitch informed that Katie’s was “a LIFETIME 5k pb of 27:07, beating her previous best by 2 mins 12 secs. Very proud mum and dad”. Thanks to Wayne for the following report: 8 sphinx blokes and 5 ladies made long trip up the m1, with some travelling a lot further on that road than what was needed !!!!!!!! to finally arrive at wollarton Hall, Nottingham for this year’s Midlands xc championships, The course was a mixture of hills, swamp, more hills and toped off with more swamp over a 8km course for laddies and 12km course for the blokes Thanks to all that took part Final league races of the season is Saturday 10th February with the ladies at Wolverhampton and the blokes at Aldridge.

Result for the Derby Runner XC League Race No.4 - Allestree Park, 21-Jan-2018

Agent Timms did some undercover running in the Derby Runner XC league (yes, Mitch and cross-country in the same sentence ;) ). Mitch described it thus: Snow, sleet, biting wind, zero degrees, mud, hills, hills with steps, low hanging branches, protruding branches, more mud, more snow – great value at £3 a shout too! They breed ‘em tough up north you know, none of this 3 times round a football pitch on a flat trail in temperate Gloucester!
