Well done to Garry Barnes and Al Harris on completing this 20-mile race, with it being Al’s first 20-mile race. Thanks to Garry Barnes for the following report:
Organised by “the race organiser” this event includes a 10km and 10 mile option along with the 20 mile 4 lap race Warm conditions and a welcome breeze in places made for nice conditions although very tough psychologically being a lap event and going past the 19 mile board 4 times until it actually means only 1 mile to go does tend to grate a little. However it s local and a fair price, think more extra large park run and good to get the miles in with a number on if you have an autumn marathon coming up. I entered on the day as did a chap who drove up from London speculating he may be able to do the same, well he did manage to enter, then won the race in 2:00 and a few seconds! Medal technical tee goodie bag of course
