Broadway Hill Charity Run

Thank you to Craig Robinson for the following write up. Thank you to Barry Cornelius for the photographs. Helen and I travelled down to the Cotswolds to take part in the Broadway Hill Charity Run (To the Tower) on a warm June 5th evening. It’s a 5 mile multi-terrain race, mainly off road, taking in the beautiful countryside around Broadway. The route included stretches of footpaths and side roads, meadows and some farm tracks but most notably a very large hill (which I have to admit I walked parts!

Hillly Hundred 2019

As the name of the race suggests this is a hilly one. The event starts at 5am, 6am, or 7am at Stratford Town Centre, we chose to go for the 5am start. Therefore myself and Helen set our alarms for 3.30am and made our way to Stratford. As we were on our way to start our race we saw people only just getting home from their night out……………. we must have been mental to be on our way to a race at that time of the morning.

Markey Bosworth Half Marathon

Thank you to Ann for the following write up Some of the Sphinx members took part at the Market Bosworth half marathon on Sunday 12th May. It was a tough course and very hilly in parts. Kingsbury Classic 10K

Thank you to Jackie for this write up On Tuesday 7th May I travelled over to Kingsbury Water park to take part in the Kingsbury Classic 10k. This is a two lap run on trail around the park. It was good to see other Sphinx runners there as well. Well done to Dave Brewis who was runner up. Run Rabbit Festival

Thank you to Jackie for this write up On Saturday 11th May a group of hardy adventurers made their way to an event near Market Harborough, Leicestershire for the first Run Rabbit Festival in the area. There was the choice of 3 different challenges or you could combine them all and camp overnight. We opted to take part in the first, which was 5 x 5k over trails. Each run was over a different course, all starting on the hour.
