Congratulations to all Sphinx AC runners who took part in the first parkrun weekend since it’s suspension back in March 2020. A big well done to both David Gamez Morris and Catrin Davies who achieved course personal bests this weekend. Further congratulations to Sergio Torija who claimed first place at East Park, achieving a parkrun PB in the process. Well done also to Ellie Davies and Victoria O’Brien on finishing 2nd and 3rd females respectively, and Jack Edwards on his 3rd place finish at Warwick.

Birdingbury Handicap - July 2021

Congratulations to everybody who took part in a hot and hilly Birdingbury handicap for July. Thank you to all our organisers and volunteers for once again arranging a great, safe event. Congratulations to Sarah Goodland on being first over the line on the night, beating her predicted time by almost 5 minutes. Well done also to Allen El-Sour and Buff Stone for finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively, both beating their predicted times by over a minute.

Monks Kirby Handicap June 2021

Well done to Liz McKinlay who was the first to cross the line in just her first handicap race with the club. Following in second place was Caroline O’Brien, trailed by Al Harris in third. Both Caroline and Al beat their predicted times by over two minutes!

Brinklow Handicap - May 2021

Who’d have thought when charging around the lanes of Church Lawford in September 2019, that our next handicap event wouldn’t be for another 20 months?! On 27th May, Sphinx AC gathered in Brinklow to race the first handicap of the 2021 series. 46 runners attended, some for the first time, and some achieving course personal bests. Many thanks to our handicap organisers for a smoothly run event, as well as those who gave up their time to volunteer and marshal on the night.
