2018/2019 Cross country league race 2 at Plock Court
Wayne has provided the following write up on the mens cross country 13 blue and gold made the trip down to Gloucester for the 2nd race in the xc league, thankyou to all that travelled, with standout performances again from Dave Brewis (currently sitting joint 3rd overall) and Nigel Timms matching his first race position in being our 5th place counter again, At the half way stage in the season Sphinx are currently sitting on 7th place out of 21 teams, and we have managed to close up abit on the teams above us, hopefully we can get as many blue and gold out racing in the remaining fixtures, Dave brewis 5th 33.

Broadway Half marathon
Thank you to Craig for the following report Whilst most of you were sunning yourselves at Coombe 8 or the Junior Cross Country, I ran the Broadway Half Marathon. Two mega lung busting hills made sure the course was hard but the stunning scenery and some fast woodland decents kept me going. I enjoyed the pain and would recommend it to those who like trail runs and hills. I just scraped within my 2 hour target and was 18th overall (the good runners must have been at Coombe 8!

Mens XC league race
Thanks to Wayne for the write up and results So with the ladies set of on their way at 1.30, the attention turned to sphinx men to start getting ready for the new xc league season, 22 blue and gold slowly leaving the tent just as the heavens opened, as per Clark of the course Bergin instructions to spice things up allitle, after health and safety!!!!!! Withdrew the technical section through the woods, who would of thought there would be tree roots in the woods !
