Thank you to Laura for this write up of her Parkrun tourism.
This parkrun took place on walls of the historic city of Lucca in Tuscany, Italy. Because the wall is only 4km round, the first part of the parkrun course involved running up to a monument and back before running anti-clockwise on the wall. After the yoga warm up, the parkrun briefing was delivered firstly in Italian and then in English. The course was mostly flat with good paths and there was plenty of shade, but the temperature had already risen to the mid-20s by 9am which made for a warm race. There were lots of parkrun tourists from the UK and Europe and we were cheered on by marshalls all the way round. Now I’ve done my first international parkrun, where to next?
