Sphinx AC were represented at a number of ParkRun events this weekend, with some well-deserved PBs. Attendance was slightly lower than normal, largely due to the Gaddesby gallop race later in the morning. Coventry 19 Sphinx AC runners/family/friends ran this weekend, with no first-timers and 3 PBs. Fourteen Fifteen Sphinx AC men ran the second of this season’s Birmingham league XC races at Burbage Common, Hinckley. Thanks to some very impressive individual performances, we have considerably reduced the gap between us and the clubs just above us in the league, though we still have some work to do if we are to avoid relegation. 24 Sphinx AC runners/family/friends ran this weekend, with no first-timers and 3 PBs. Congratulations to Fintan McSharry’s daughter, Robyn, who was first lady home whilst Fintan and his wife, Kate, both achieved individual PBs. Cross-country later in the day meant that some of our runners opted for a gentle run, whilst others chaperoned family and friends.
